Hello,
My name is Cathi Rodgers and I am one of your coaches for the Brevard County Marathon Team. I joined Team in Training back in 2006, when I signed up to do the Walt Disney World Triathlon, in honor of my dad. My dad was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in March of 1999. I had never “trained” for any physical event before, and boy has my life changed for the best! I have now done five events with Team In Training.
I am a forty-four year old mother of two boys, wife, Secretary for The Space Coast Triathletes, employee of Running Zone, and an endurance athlete. I had never imagined in my whole life that I would call myself an endurance athlete. Since starting with Team in Training, I have completed one marathon, four half-marathons, eleven triathlons, and countless 5K to 15K running events. Team in Training has changed my life and I know it will change yours!
We are going to have a fantastic five months together, while helping to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, myeloma and other types of cancer. Your participation with Team in Training will help raise the much-needed funds to find a cure for cancer and to help patients and their families live a more comfortable life. Being a participant with Team in Training makes everyone a winner!

My name is John Blackstone and I am going to be one of your coaches for the Brevard County Marathon Team.
My Involvement in Team In Training (TNT): It came in January 2004 when Nate Falk asked if I wanted to train for a Marathon. Not knowing what I was getting myself into I quickly responded with a “SURE”. That “SURE” turned into me achieving something I had never done before when I completed the San Diego Rock-n-Roll Marathon.
I live in Indialantic with my lovely wife and her two beautiful daughters. I work for a Consulting Firm out of Newport Beach, CA as a Cost Associate. I was born in Birmingham, AL and moved to Indialantic, FL when I was 2 ½. I grew up playing sports and fishing. Prior to reaching High School I chose to stick with baseball and it took me to college on a scholarship at Brevard Community College and then onto Florida Tech.

I look forward to meeting all of you. We are going to have an unbelievable 4 months together with some of you competing and finishing your Half or Full Marathon and for others completing yet another endurance event, all of this while helping to find a cure for Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and Myeloma. The funds that we raise will go towards helping improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
